The little touches like cookies made us feel welcomed.
Noise from the surrounding nightlife was overwhelming. Despite the comfortable apartment, the soundproofing left much to be desired as the crowds and yelling continued late into the night. We also encountered difficulties with accessing the hotel, requiring multiple door codes that were inconvenient.

All in all, it was brilliant place for travelling to Colchester. The hotel had a very central location and it was a 4-6 minute walking distance from an orthodox church. And the area was lovely, next to shops as well as good restaurants. The staff that checked us in was friendly and excellent.

We had the double room which was neat and newly remodelled with a very comfy bed. The location turned out to be particularly good, right by the center as well as the centre of the city.

Consider bringing your own bath sheet for extra comfort. The hotel's location near nightlife may not suit everyone, so plan accordingly for a restful night.

The hotel is located on a noisy street, with sounds resembling a nightclub piercing through the walls until the early hours. Not ideal for restful nights. Access is only via stairs. The room setup had some quirks, including multiple door codes which added confusion, and a broken plug socket behind the TV, hinting at potential safety concerns. The absence of a proper area to sit and get ready was frustrating, as was navigating intermittent internet connectivity which kept cutting out. These issues added up to a less-than-pleasant experience despite a few redeeming qualities.

Had a sweet as stay! Loved the comfy beds and the cool cookies, but carrying bags up stairs was a hassle. Chur for the tasty pizza too!

I loved how clean the room was and the fact that they had plenty of spare towels and appliances. The cozy sun terrace was a great spot to relax after a long day, and enjoyed sipping coffee there. While it did get a little warm at night, the fan made it nice and comfortable, so overall no worries! 😊

The location proves challenging for restful sleep, surrounded by bustling nightlife that creates noise disturbances late into the night. While the apartment was impeccably clean and featured a comfortable bed, the lack of soundproofing made it hard to unwind. The convoluted access with multiple door codes added to the inconvenience. Having a small kitchen was a plus as it allowed for self-catering options, and the homemade sweets provided were a good touch.
